Catholic Schools Week, celebrated nationally this year from January 27-February 2, provides a great opportunity for families to explore the excellence of Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Hartford. Parents and prospective students are encouraged to attend a nearby Catholic school Open House to discover the many benefits of a Catholic education. We at St. John Paul the Great Academy look forward to sharing a warm Catholic School Week welcome with all visiting families! Here is what has been planned for our Pre-K to Middle School students in celebration of Catholic Schools Week:
Monday (1.27)—“Kids Play” (Pre-K, K, Lower Primary) from 9 AM-11 AM; Cost: $7.00 per student. Signed permission slips needed to attend. “Movie Monday” with popcorn (Upper Primary, Intermediate, Junior High).
Tuesday (1.28)—“Mystery Guest” from 12:30-1:30 (Pre-K through Junior High) and the Torrington Chamber of Commerce’s “Business with Breakfast” with Roundtable Discussion at 8 AM.
Wednesday (1.29)—“Game Day/Scavenger Hunt” and Police Dog (Pre-K through Junior High).
Thursday (1.30)—“Christmas in Europe” at the Knights of Columbus Museum in New Haven (UP, Int., JH); Signed permission slips needed to attend. “Movie Thursday” and popcorn (Pre-K, Kindergarten, Lower Primary).
Friday (1.31)—Benefactors’ Mass (8 AM) led by our Student Council, Open House (9:30-1:30) for prospective/new students and Carvel Sundae “Fun Day!”
